And one by one they found themselves at the end of the laden table
where there was bread
made with a hint of cardamom
and a trace of sugar.
Just enough to bring them together.
No secret, this:
spice and sweetness in good measure
is found where bread is shared.
This is a nice beginning. Is there more? I especially like the line, “spice and sweetness…shared.”
Thanks. Actually, that was as far as I went with it,although it was based on a real occurrence. I made several loaves of cardamom bread for a gathering, a very diverse gathering, and soon I noticed that a good percentage of the folks had migrated to where the bread was and were chatting while munching on cardamom bread.
