The Adirondack Center for Writing brings people and words together.

The Adirondack Center for Writing cultivates the art of writing and the joy of reading; we celebrate the power of language to invite discovery, to create an understanding of people and sense of place, and to build a community.

Our Staff

Nathalie Thill, Executive Director, nathalie@adirondackcenterforwriting.org

Nathalie is no average director. She’s a fantastic storyteller and a dynamic host and workshop facilitator. She’s always ready to chat about your options for publishing, tips for telling that tale, and knows the next book you’ll fall in love with. She’s been with the organization since its infancy, nearly 20 years. All the things you love about ACW are the product of Nathalie’s work and vision. At the heart of everything she does is a belief in incorporating community, diversity, and inclusion.

Baylee Annis, Assistant to the Director, info@adirondackcenterforwriting.org

Baylee joined us in the fall of 2015 and turned ACW into the family it is today. Little did we know when we hired her based on her expertise in events and marketing, that she would be the glue that binds our far-flung Adirondack community. Baylee walks into any room and befriends everyone there, walking up to perfect strangers to talk about anything and everything. This is more than just a job, and her love and commitment to our mission comes through in everything she does. We are so thankful to have such a talented, warm-hearted person on our team.

Our Goals

  • Build and maintain a community of writing, reading, and listening across disciplines, traditions, ages and geographies.
  • Honor the rich literary, cultural and natural history of the Adirondacks.
  • Partner with diverse individuals, organizations and schools to promote the craft of writing and the practice of reading in our communities.

We are supported by the New York State Council on the Arts.
