The little boy wanted to be as important as the newspaper was to his mother. It was full of stories. He decided if he wrote stories, he would be important to her too. No one knew he had dyslexia, so it was nearly impossible for him to learn to read, but after tutoring, he did. Then, he couldn’t write because his mother demanded he do a lot of her work. College and finding jobs were struggles. Marriage brought a family to care for. After divorced and retirment, he finally had time to write. Now he’s nominated for several writing awards.
