Join us in welcoming Obi, ACW’s new program manager!
Obi Taswell is a poet and educator who taught preschool and elementary school before spending the past several years teaching Ethics and English to middle and upper school students across New York City. They have experience in developing cross-cultural and community-based programming, creating inclusive and accessible literary spaces, and engaging communities through writing and storytelling.
Although they grew up in Maryland, Obi has been coming to the Adirondacks their whole life and is on their way to becoming a 46er. When they’re not hiking or writing, they’re most likely cooking with friends, singing in choir, or reading a book.
