Join us for a happy hour of writing at ACW. FNW is a casual, drop-in writing session for writers of all genres and experience levels. It’s a chance to use our comfy space and helpful writing resources, so that you can get some writing done before the weekend starts. Plus, you’ll meet other writers and build your community.
The Howl Story Slam is a live storytelling competition. Anyone can sign up to tell a story the night of the event. This event takes place at the Lake Harris Lodge in Newcomb, NY.

Meet Elizabeth Izzo, managing editor of the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, the only daily newspaper published in the North Country. Izzo recently earned a 2022 New York News Publishers Association award for Distinguished Editorial writing.

ACW’s Meet reporter and author, Tim Rowland (Jay, NY) to learn about his new series reporting on the regional housing crisis for the Adirondack Explorer. Tim will answer audience questions and share stories about his experiences reporting, writing, and finding an audience for his work.
Join us for a talk with Amy Godine, author of The Black Woods. Godine will present about her book and then take questions from the audience. Copies of the book will be available at the event.
