Telling Our Hardest Stories w/ Casey Mulligan Walsh
March 19, 2025 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Join us for a reading from Casey Mulligan Walsh’s new memoir, The Full Catastrophe, about her orphaned adolescence, her divorce, and the loss of her young adult son. The book is as wrenching as it is healing, so we’re inviting attendees to bring their own story, essay, or poem focused on life’s hardest moments. If you’re looking for a space to connect and share sensitive reflections on loss, tragedy, hardship, or any of life’s unexpected downturns, you belong here. If you’re looking for wisdom and strength from others but you’re not ready to get up and tell your own story, you belong here too. A book sale and signing will follow the readings.

Casey Mulligan Walsh has written for the New York Times, HuffPost, Next Avenue, Modern Loss, Hippocampus, Barren Magazine, and numerous other literary journals. Her essay, “Still,” published in Split Lip, was nominated for Best of the Net. Casey’s memoir, The Full Catastrophe: All I Ever Wanted, Everything I Feared, was published by Motina Books on February 18, 2025. She is a founding editor of In a Flash literary magazine and serves on the Board of the Family Heart Foundation.
