A Poetry Reading Celebrating the Works of Distinguished Irish Poet, Pádraig Ó Tuama

An evening of poetry reading, pondering music and exploration of Ó Tuama’s works, led by Susie Allen, Lorraine Duvall and Martha Gallagher.

An open mic time will follow – bring your favorite Pádraig poem to share.

Susie Allen is a spiritual director and an active member of the Keene Valley Congregational Church. Before moving to Keene, she sang with the a capella group, Custom Blend, and worked both on and off-stage in community theatre for over 15 years. Her creative soul is most often expressed through music, knitting, gardening, meditation. Susie has three grown children, and four grandchildren, and resides in Keene, NY with her husband, Roger.

Lorraine Duvall is an award-winning author who writes of her love of the Adirondacks, her adventures paddling its quiet waters, and the history of a 1970’s woman’s collective in Warren County. She has published four memoirs, laced with history of place, and numerous articles in Adirondack publications.

Well-known in the region as The Adirondack Harper, Martha is an international touring artist, singer/songwriter, composer, poet, actress, and storyteller. Her
original works center on Nature, our human place within the natural world and connection with Spirit. Martha also delights in her work as a guide supporting people seeking to reconnect with joy in their daily lives.
