How Hometowns Inspire Essays with Athena Dixon
February 3, 2025 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
(5-week online class)
Students will use a variety of creative writing methods and techniques to explore the memories, perceptions, and experiences of their own hometown. By stepping off the path and developing parallel roads in these spaces, students will find new vessels in which to hold the stories they desire to tell. The class will explore new creative methodologies for essay writing including music, pop culture, print media, and more. Each student will receive constructive, 1-on-1 feedback from the instructor at two points throughout the class, in addition to frequent feedback from classmates.
Mondays, Feb 3 – March 3, on Zoom, at 7pm
