Many years ago, my parents bought a house at 8 Circle Drive.
“So, what?”, you say. Well, the name was a misnomer. The street only had ten houses on one side, an open field on the other and it barely had a curve to it. It was a dead-end street also. There was no way that you could drive in a circle around it.
The other amazing thing about this street was after about five years, our address changed to 15 Circle Drive and we didn’t even move. The post office made all the neighbors head spin when they decided to number the lots in case houses were built on the other side of the street. The town however, said that due to the sewer situation, no houses could be erected there. The kids in the neighborhood did build a nice diamond in this field to play baseball.
We moved away in the 60s.

Funny comment on bureaucracy! Really is a slice of life in America.
Way to go, June!
