SUMMARY:Always With the Questions: Writing + Revision Games
DESCRIPTION:Register here\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA two-hour writing and revision workshop with Marilyn McCabe \n\n\n\nDo you ever stare at the blank page and not know where to begin? Or maybe you’ve written something and it’s not quite what you’ve hoped? In the first half of this two-hour workshop\, Marilyn McCabe will introduce you to generative prompts from her new book\, Always With the Questions: One Poet’s Writing Manual\, and offer you time to write. Then\, you’ll use what you’ve written (or another work-in-progress) to play some revision games from her book. You’ll talk about ideas and inspiration\, and learn how to focus your revision approaches at different levels: words\, forms\, ideas. This workshop is for writers of all kinds\, and for all kinds of creative writing. Come play along! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMarilyn McCabe‘s collections of poems include Being Many Seeds\, Glass Factory\, Perpetual Motion and Rugged Means of Grace. Videopoems have appeared in festivals/galleries. She talks about writing at Owrite:marilynonaroll.wordpress.com and the podcast Whirled Through a Poem’s Eye. Her new book\, from The Word Works\, is a wry\, irreverent writing manual/workbook called Always With the Questions: One Poet’s Writing Manual.
