Alane Salierno Mason is a vice president and executive editor at W.W. Norton & Company. She has acquired and edited prize-winning and bestselling works of fiction and nonfiction including books by Diane Ackerman, Andre Dubus III, and Stephen Greenblatt. Recent noteworthy debuts include Jessica Bruder’s Nomadland, winner of the Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers Award and finalist for the most prestigious awards in journalism; and Camille Dungy’s Guidebook to Relative Strangers, a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award. Mason is the founder and president of WordsWithoutBorders.org, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the translation, publication, and promotion of international literature. In 2014, she was awarded the first ever “Editorial Achievement Award” from the Asian American Writers’ Workshop, “for broadening the world of American letters to include global and diasporic narratives.” She is a Distinguished Alumna of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Ashley Patrick acquires and edits fiction and nonfiction for W. W. Norton & Company. A former copy editor and literary critic, she previously served as managing editor of the literary review Booklslut. She holds an MFA in creative nonfiction and literary translation from Columbia University.
