I identify myself as a natural hermit, so isolation does not bother me. My wife tells me that I am too gregarious to be a real hermit.
Although I can clearly see the world stretching all around, with me at its center, I know that I, along with every other being and thing, exist as merely a tiny part of the whole universe.
I do not let that bother me too much.
On the other hand, realizing that I am a watery mass of parasites, fungus, bacteria, and human cells sometimes does give me the creeps.
